Toalima Mulitalo

About Me

Talofa! That's "Hello!" in Samoan. My name is Ms. Mulitalo and I’ve been teaching at Whittier Elementary since September 1987. I have taught first, second and third grades, and second grade just happens to be my favorite! I’ve taught second grade the longest, for almost 20 years now.  I absolutely love teaching children, but what most of my students know and like best about me is the hilarious stories I share about my life and family.  There aren’t very many students who can say they had a teacher who comes from a very diverse background. I was born in Hawaii, but my parents are Samoan and I lived there until the end of third grade, then moved to Southern California, where many years later, I first became a teacher in January 1983. I moved to Utah in June 1987, and though it took me awhile to adjust to Utah, I fell in love with the people and the snow.  I have made it my permanent home for almost 29 years now. I look forward to an amazing and awesome experience with my amazing and awesome students!!!!
